Projectdescription

The test region in western Austria (West-AAL) defines, develops and evaluates demand meeting, innovative and interoperable AAL solutions for end-users and will host these in a sustainable way. A high degree of end-user involvement will account for the individual life phases and circumstances of primary end-users as well as different structures of secondary end-users. The selection of involved end-users considers rural and urban living environments as well as residential care institutions and private living (including, but not limited to mobile nursing and mobile services) and will also evaluate differences between old and new buildings and infrastructures in order to evaluate a realistic view on the heterogeneity of the end-users. West-AAL is an innovative integration-, inclusion- and testing project at a regional level and aims to cover the value chain from the beginning up to the tertiary end-users,aiming at a socioeconomic ‘AAL-catalyser effect’.
